 Their moms and dads grew at a time when children’s shows weren’t characterized by production gimmicks or expensive props and location shootings. Back then, simplicity on its format was the charm, like the Uncle Bob’s Lucky 7 Club of Robert “Uncle Bob” Stewart, the first wholesome show for children, co-hosted by two lovely puppets, Spanky and Pancho. There was also “Eskuwelahang Munti”, “Batibot”, the famous “Sesame Street”, etc.

One of their favorite cartoons was a great white whale named Moby Dick who, as the story plot goes, rescued two boys from an underwater earthquake that tragically killed their families, Tom and Tub, and eventually became their gentle friend. This Hanna-Barbera cartoon then teamed up with “The Mighty Thor” and formed the half-hour TV show.

Batang Canucks, a vision of ReyFort Media Group, aims to bring to the tube a children’s TV show with a format of combining the “simplicity of the past” with the technology of the present.

For the first time, a TV show for kids which will focus on dynamic “edu-talentainment” (education, talent show and entertainment). It will also showcase vibrant activities for the kids geared towards value formation, talent enhancement, knowledge build-up and entertainment abilities.
